Cancellation Policy
Understand the terms for cancelling site visits, consultations, and solar project agreements.
1. General
This Cancellation Policy applies to enquiries, site visits, and project agreements initiated through our website or directly with Vanguard Energy Systems India Private Limited. Specific cancellation and refund terms for a confirmed project are governed by the signed proposal or agreement executed with you, which shall take precedence over this general policy in case of any conflict.
2. Site Visits and Consultations
Site visits and initial consultations offered through our website are provided free of charge and without obligation. You may cancel or reschedule a site visit at any time prior to the scheduled appointment by contacting our team.
3. Cancellation Before Work Commencement
If you wish to cancel your project after signing a proposal or agreement but before any material procurement, design work, or site work has commenced, you may do so by providing written notice to Vanguard. Any applicable refund of amounts paid, less reasonable administrative or processing costs incurred, shall be governed by the specific terms of your signed agreement.
4. Cancellation After Work Commencement
Once material has been procured, custom design work completed, or site work has commenced on your project, cancellation may not be possible without cost, and any refund — if applicable — will be limited to amounts not yet utilized toward material, labor, or third-party costs already incurred, as determined on a case-by-case basis and set out in your signed agreement.
5. Subsidy and Financing-Linked Cancellations
If your project involves a government subsidy application or third-party financing arrangement that has already been submitted or approved, cancellation may involve additional steps or implications specific to that government authority, DISCOM, or financial institution, which Vanguard will communicate to you but does not control.
6. Refund Processing
Where a refund is determined to be payable under your signed agreement, it will be processed within a reasonable timeframe as specified in that agreement, using the original mode of payment where possible.
7. Force Majeure
Vanguard shall not be liable for any delay or inability to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government action, DISCOM delays, or supply chain disruptions. In such cases, timelines will be adjusted in good faith, and cancellation/refund terms will be discussed directly with you.
